More Than Half A Page Of Scribbled Lines

The imminent departure of Christian Eriksen in this window (should have been done last summer in my opinion) got me thinking about my list of our best players since football was invented in 1992 by Sky Sports. I tweeted some stats from the BBC (if you keep them off politics they're not bad) the other day that said since joining Spurs Eriksen has more assists, has created more chances and scored more times from outside the penalty area than any other Premier League player. A lot of this will be lost because his form and attitude this season has been questionable at best and downright terrible at worst. This is a shame in my eyes because he should be remembered a a wonderful talent who has been a great player for us. I hope history will be kind to him and some of the vitriol directed towards him last weekend will be forgotten as time passes. A couple of years back I listed a squad made up of what I considered to be the best players I'd seen since first going to The Lane. Obv
